Fur on Fur

Before you reach for the nearest tomato in your kitchen to throw at your computer screen (note to PETA) while viewing this post, the Biscuits would like to make it very clear that we are anti fur and can assure you that no animals were tortured or abused to create these photos. In fact, Mamma is all about encouraging those who want the look of fur to go faux—it’s the only ethical way.

Here is Mamma during our recent visit to Boston perched upon a faux fur sofa-throw working her angles with the early morning sunlight.

It’s as if André Leon Talley draped one of his animal capes on the sofa and demanded that our little Biscuit Lady strike a pose!

WERK Mamma!

Runaround Mamma Boo!

This photo of Mamma in motion reminds us of Dion and the Bellmonts singing Runaround Sue. By no means are we trying to insinuate that our little girl has loose morals, however we just feel like it captures the spirit of the song—Mamma B. hitting the town with a great big smile and inevitably attracting all the dogs in town . . . and breaking a few canine hearts in the process.

The Biscuits have reworked the lyrics to this song Mamma B. style to honor her infectious spirit. Go get ‘em girl!

Here’s her story great and true,
It’s about a girl if you need a clue
She takes her love and runs around
Sharing it with every pug in town.

I should have known it from the very start,
This girl has the biggest heart.
Now listen people what I’m telling you
Look out for Runaround Mamma Boo.

You can’t miss her eyes, tongue and face,
The touch of her fur and her warm embrace.
So if you wanna smile like I do
Look out for Runaround Mamma Boo.

Ohhhh, look out for that gorgeous girl,
We all want to give her a hug and twirl.

Ah, she likes to travel around, yeah
She’ll love you like a loyal hound.
People let me put you wise,
Mamma has the most beautiful eyes.

Here’s the moral and the story from a guy who knows,
I fell in love and my love still grows.
Ask any fool that she ever knew, they’ll say
Seek out Runaround Mamma Boo.

Shy Biscuit!

Sometimes she’s playful, sometimes she’s sleepy, sometimes she’s curious but mostly, she’s shy. That’s when we love her the most, when she’s coy and makes you work for it. Simply looking into her beautiful, watery eyes and thinking, wondering, imagining what she’s thinking about. There is nothing more rewarding than watching our little angel sleep peacefully, or to catch her looking at us when we are not paying attention—feeling her sense of safety and security with us. Here is Mamma having a Macbeth moment behind a creaky old door in Provincetown—waiting patiently to make her entrance! She’s such a lady!

Polka dot dreams!

Mamma may sleep in a toile bed in the living room during the early evening hours (positioned perfectly in front of the television for optimum reality TV watching) but during the day, she likes to retire to her secondary bed in the office. This sassy polka dot bed was a gift from Nonna this past Christmas and Mamma feels just like she’s in her arms when she curls up into it! Here are a few photos of our Lady of Biscuits taking a nap from all the napping she regularly does in the living room. And when it’s time for bed, she can usually be found in the middle of our queen size bed, inching her two dads slowly to the left perimeter/edge and almost onto the floor!

Mondays are a drag!

Mamma Biscuit and family definitely have their fair share of experiences with drag queens. After all, any man who can throw on a wig, slide into a pair of heels and cake on a face with a butter knife to look like Tammy Faye Baker and walk right out the door is an inspirational hero to us! With that said, Mamma B. loves her girls and they love her back. Here are a few photos of Mamma in Provincetown hitting the drag circuit—basically walking down Commercial Street on any given day or night at any given hour. If Mamma could turn back time, she’d be right back in the presence of Cher and her long, animal-like wig—if only to discuss Moonstruck—her all time favorite movie! Coco Peru was totally entranced by Mamma’s long tongue that it practically rendered her speechless—and getting a queen to shut up is no easy feat. And finally, the iconic Hedda Lettuce could not pass by Mamma on the street during her hoe stroll to say hello. She too was totally entranced by Mamma’s epic tongue and Mamma was entranced by her head-piece thinking it was a nice, crisp and tasty piece of Foxy lettuce—our girl is always up for a quick snack.

It’s hard to get our Lady of Biscuits to meet her idols in heels (damn those pesky animal/pet rules that bars and clubs enforce) however, the next best thing is Rupaul’s Drag Race on Logo every Monday night followed by Untucked. Mamma can cozy up in her toile donut bed with a fresh bowl of Pinot Grigio and watch Rupaul’s girls have at it with each other over wigs, make-up and heels. Nothing tickles Mamma more than watching poor Shangela create yet another horrendous runway look with a pair of kitchen shears, a delusional dream and an abbreviated shout-out to the Lord—Hallelu! Or Raja working yet another amazing, high fashion look on the runway but still can’t find a feminine voice to save her life! And if Manila Luzon exploits her quasi-Asian roots one more time, I think Mamma Biscuit will pack a bag and head back to China with her tongue between her legs—embarrassed for being American! In fact, the only “charisma, uniqueness, nerve, and talent” we see every Monday night (besides Rupaul gracing the stage looking flawless) is our very own Mamma Biscuit—but we’re all still rooting for Raja in the end. The Biscuits will be watching tonight however there is one last question on our minds—how does one quantify a lifetime supply of Kryolan cosmetics? for a drag queen no less?!?
